Multipurpose skincare: Extend the benefits of your products

MULTIPURPOSE SKINCARE: EXTEND THE BENEFITS OF YOUR PRODUCTS

Did you know that some of your skincare has properties that go beyond enriching your complexion? Though you might were set on a specific goal when purchasing your products, multipurpose benefits never hurt anyone – after all, it might save you both time and money. What more could we ask for?

In this blogpost, we’re letting you in on some woods_ skincare hacks you might not know about.

Nourishing Body Oil: A body oil and hair mask in one

Just like we strive to solely enrich our complexion with natural, effective, and above all safe ingredients, the same goes for our hair. Therefore, we were ecstatic when we learned that our all-natural and ultra-hydrating Nourishing Body Oil works wonders as a hair mask. Let’s introduce you to the magic ingredient: Wheat germ oil.

When applied to the skin, wheat germ oil nourishes and moisturizes the skin while working as a barrier-booster, making our 100% natural Nourishing Body Oil an essential choice for your body care routine.

When applied to your hair, this emollient effectively helps hydrate dry hair, strengthen hair follicles, and improve shine. Especially suitable for dry strands, this multipurpose product will leave your lengths velvety soft. We like to use it 1-3 times a week, applying it an hour before washing our hair (TIP: Use a hair clip to keep it in place). Rinse with shampoo and conditioner, and voilà!

Instant Repair Balm: Intensive moisturizer and touch-up balm

Our Instant Repair Balm is the younger sibling of our beloved Repair Body Balm. Infused with natural shea butter, which is loaded with beneficial fatty acids that soothe, protect, and regenerate the skin, mixed with a nourishing blend of Nordic berries, this balm is truly the recipe for indulgence for the skin.

But are you aware of the makeup-like qualities it can offer your skin as well? Use it as a nourishing lip balm for that natural glossy look or touch up your brows and lashes for that long-lasting lift we adore.

Full packet or perfect purse size? The choice is yours.

Skin Perfector 2% BHA: Bye bye bacne

Salicylic acid, alias BHA, has come to be a praised ingredient in the skincare world – and we’re gladly riding the wave. With its ability to slough off dead skin cells, remove excess oil and shine, unclog pores, and prevent breakouts, it’s no surprise this powerful ingredient is an essential choice for oily and breakout-prone skin types. So, why not take the breakout-banishing benefits to your body?

Our Skin Perfector 2% BHA has been shown to effectively clear up uneven skin tone and texture, leaving a clearer and firmer complexion. If you’re dealing with bumpy texture or impurities on e.g., your upper arms or back (also known as ‘bacne’), we recommend applying the formula to these areas to decongest pores and help prevent the formation of future impurities and even out the skin’s tone and texture.

Please note: As your body makes up a larger surface than your complexion, a larger quantity of product should be used for maximum effect.

Gua Sha: Elevate your body care routine

Many people think that Gua Shas are a relatively new phenomenon in the skincare world. The truth is that the practice dates all the way back to ancient China, where it was used as a natural, soothing remedy. At woods_, we created our Sculpting Face Gua Sha to bring sculpting, tightening, and relieving properties to your skincare routine.

The gliding movements increase blood circulation and provide a relaxing massage. Try using your Gua Sha on your arms and thighs to experience these indulging effects – but remember to accompany it with an oil, like our Nourishing Body Oil. This is an especially lovely treatment after a workout or to unwind after a long day.
