Information for testers 

This page provides more information on the conditions for participating in the test, if you are one of the lucky individuals we contact. 

Purpose of the test 

The purpose of the test is to be an aid for woods_ copenhagen, so that we can improve our products for you as a consumer and ensure that the products have the best possible effect.  

Additionally, we'd like to show you how amazing our products are. Therefore, the test also gives you the opportunity to experience them firsthand, and we hope you'll be just as impressed by their effects as we are. 

If you are selected as a test participant, your results will be used to share your experience with the product. Rest assured, your experience will remain anonymous in the test results, including any photos you may upload. 

To participate in the test, you must be 18 years of age or older. 

Important information  

Your results and feedback/comments will be displayed anonymously in our marketing across platforms, such as, but not limited to, our website and Instagram profile. We will anonymize them by displaying only your first name and the first letter of your last name. 

By signing up for our test panel through the survey provided by us, you consent to allow us to use and share your photos for marketing purposes. These images will be displayed anonymously, without any personal information or identifiers. If any photos contain identifiable details, we will anonymize them before use, such as by zooming in or blurring your eyes.

Since woods_ copenhagen’s products are sold in different countries across the world, your results will also be featured anonymously on our platforms in other countries. 

Information on the products 

The products you may be asked to test are selected based on various factors, including your skin type. 

If selected, you will receive the appropriate quantity of the product for the test period. woods_ copenhagen will determine the suitable amount for the specific product. 

The use of the products must be in accordance with our recommendations/guide throughout the period of use. 

You are not allowed to use other products with similar effect during the test period of woods_ copenhagen’s products.  

Contact woods_ copenhagen 

Should you experience any side effects, signs of hypersensitivity, or allergic reaction to the skin, stop using the product(s) immediately and contact woods_ copenhagen right away. 

According to GDPR, you have the right to access and receive any personal information we have collected about you. We will delete all personal data after 6 months from your application. However, your results, comments, and any pictures you have uploaded (if you have given consent for us to use them for marketing purposes) may continue to be used in our marketing efforts across online online platforms as well as in offline promotional materials. After the test period  

Your information is stored for 6 months from the time you complete and submit your application to become a test participant. If you wish to continue receiving offers to be a test participant after the 6-month period, you will need to fill out a new form, as your information will be automatically deleted after this time. 

Handling of personal information 

In connection with testing of new and / or existing products at Wcph ApS (WCPH), we’ll process your personal information as stated in this policy. Wcph ApS is the data controller regarding the personal information that is collected and processed when applying to become a tester.  

For this process we use Typeform. The purpose of Typeform is to facilitate the application process for you and WCPH, as well as to receive and store your information in a secure manner. 

Processing of personal data 

WCPH processes your information, including personal information, which you have filled out in the form to become a test person. The information is then used as part of the assessment of your possibility to become a test person for relevant products from WCPH. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is your and WCPH's legitimate interest, cf. Article 6, (1), litra f in the General Data Protection Regulation. The legitimate interests pursued here are WCPH’s interest in improving, creating, and displaying results for their products, while it to you is the interest in trying out the products free of charge. 

Should you be selected to test one of WCPH's products, WCPH needs additional information in order to send the product to you. WCPH will collect the information once you have approved the terms of the test and guidelines for use of the product. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is your legitimate interest in receiving the product so that you can test it, cf. Article 6 (1) of the Data Protection Regulation. 1, letter f. 

As part of the assessment of whether you can be a match for WCPH's products, WCPH asks you to indicate any medication you are taking in relation to your skin. As any medication (directed at the skin) may interfere with the outcome of WCPH's products, this sensitive information must necessarily be included in the assessment of test results. The processing therefore rests on your and WCPH's legitimate interests in the best possible results of the test process, cf. Article 6, (1), litra f of the General Data Protection Regulation. WCPH does not process this sensitive data until you have given your explicit consent, in accordance with Article 9, (2), litra a of the General Data Protection Regulation.  

Storage and deletion 

Your entered information is stored for 6 months starting from the time you have completed and sent the application to become a test person. If you are offered to be a test person for one of WCPH's products, your information will continue to be stored for possible testing of another different product. If you still wish to receive an offer to be a test person for WCPH's products after the period has expired, we’ll ask you to fill in a new form, as your information will be deleted automatically after 6 months. 

If you have not been contacted 6 months after you have filled in and submitted the form regarding the test run of a product from WCPH, your information will be deleted automatically.  

Recipients 

For WCPH to be able to obtain, assess, and process your application to become a test person, as well as possibly subsequently be able to send the product to you, it is necessary for WCPH to share your information with subcontractors. All subcontractors are covered by data processor agreements to ensure data protection in accordance with the standard required by applicable data protection legislation. For subcontractors located in third countries, such transfer will be protected by the EU Commission's standard provisions.
